About Carolinas Cement

In April 2008, Carolinas Cement announced plans to construct a new, state-of-the-art cement plant on the former Ideal Cement site in Castle Hayne. The plant will create high-paying jobs, sustainable tax revenues and at the same time - respect the environment and conserve natural resources. Carolinas Cement will be the only cement plant in North Carolina, which has consistently ranked among the country's top ten states in annual cement use. At present, all cement being used in North Carolina is being imported from elsewhere. Carolinas Cement will bring the commerce and the jobs back to New Hanover County and the surrounding area.

Carolinas Cement is a subsidiary of Titan America, LLC, one of the premier manufacturers of heavy building materials on the east coast. Titan America's products include cement, aggregates, ready-mixed concrete, concrete block, masonry and stucco products and fly ash.
