Company HistoryOur parent company is Titan Cement Company S.A., a century-old Athens-based company with a long-standing reputation for integrity, high standards, values and a commitment to corporate social responsibility. Titan Cement is a signatory to the UN Global Compact, a group of companies committed to sustainable and socially responsible business practices. Titan America currently operates two cement plants in Virginia and Florida. Roanoke Cement Company LLC, located near Roanoke, Virginia, is the only active cement plant in Virginia. Following its modernization in the mid 1990s, the plant received the Governor's Environmental Award, numerous other environmental and safety awards and is an Energy Star Partner. The Roanoke plant's annual production capacity is more than 1.3 million tons. Titan Florida Cement is produced at the Pennsuco plant located in Medley, Florida. In 2004, Pennsuco nearly doubled its production capability from one million to 1.8 million tons annually with the completion of its modernization project. Titan's Pennsuco plant is the newest, largest and most modern cement plant in Florida. |
